All the music shows, festivals, and different places where you go and sell hot dogs by the thousands, by the tens of thousands.

One day, your assistant books a very promising festival that you’re going to go to to sell your hot dogs. There are going to be 50,000 people packed into a stadium somewhere for some music festival, and you are excited. You know you’re going to sell tons of hot dogs. You go, you set up shop, you’re there early, and you’re ready to go.

The hot dogs are cooked and everything’s ready to go. People start coming in and they start walking right by your cart. It’s 11:30 in the morning and people are just starting to get hungry for lunch, but people are walking right by your cart. They’re walking right by. Some people are looking at you and making ugly faces.

Two hours go by. Everybody else is making money hand over fist, and you find out you’re in a concert of vegetarians. You’re in a concert. All the bands are vegetarian and all the people who came to listen to the music are all vegetarians. You didn’t know. You were advertising to the wrong market.
