It’s discouraging, you keep sending your audience to a sales page you are promoting that sells awesome fishing lures but you are hardly selling any.
What’s an affiliate marketer to do?
Tell your readers a story! Get them amped up. You need to send excited buyers to the systems you are promoting, not bored ones.
First make sure you are actually promoting a system that converts well. Once you have that verified it’s time to test the product yourself. If it’s a fishing lure you are promoting then buy the lure and go fishing. Make sure you get some beer on the way. Always test a product before you promote it.

Sweet! Tell your audience about last Friday’s fishing trip. You and Bubba went to the same pond you always go to, the one where the fish hardly ever bite.
Y’all were sitting in the boat drinking beers and fishing when all of a sudden you heard a whizzing sound and your line snapped tight. Happened so fast you almost spilled you beer! Yep, you know it’s a big un when you almost spill your beer.
So you handed your beer to Bubba. The fish was going nuts! It was like a torpedo coming out of the water every time it jumped! All the other fisherman at the pond reeled in their lines and watched the battle commence. This was nuts, the fish was actually making waves big enough to surf on! You saw a canoe capsize out of the corner of your eye as you reeled your prize in closer.
You and Bubba had to pour out ALL the beer to lighten the boat enough so it wouldn’t sink with the fish inside! It was totally worth it though. And the lure, man oh man. It stayed in the fish’s mouth the whole time. You can’t wait to tell your readers about this one!
A story like this will paint a picture in an avid fisherman’s mind. All fisherman wish they could catch more fish, so send them to the sales page your are promoting while the story is fresh in their minds!
Just remember, get your audience excited. Don’t bore them. You’ll see much better results.
